This Privacy Policy explains how GroupDeed, a business based in Georgia ("GroupDeed," "we," "us") handles personal information. It covers two groups of people, and we treat their information differently:
- Visitors and customers who use our website, contact us or buy from us ("Website Data"). We do not sell information about visitors to our website.
- Business contacts: people whose work contact details appear in the employer leads we provide to insurance agents and brokers ("Business Contact Data"). We license Business Contact Data to insurance agents and brokers for business-to-business prospecting. Under some state privacy laws, this may be treated as a "sale" of personal information. Section 5 explains how to opt out or have your details removed.
1. Information we collect
Website Data (visitors and customers)
- Details you give us in forms or email: name, email, phone, agency name, territory, package interest and messages.
- Purchase details. Payments are handled by our payment processor, and we do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Basic technical data your browser sends when pages load, such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed. Our fonts and styles are self-hosted on our own site, so loading our pages does not send this data to third-party font or style providers.
Business Contact Data (people named in our leads)
- Employer information, such as company name, address, phone, website, industry, size estimates, benefits information, and hiring and news signals.
- Information about a business decision-maker at that employer, such as name, job title, work email, phone number (which may be a mobile number), and professional profile links.
- Information we derive, such as lead scores, likelihood estimates and talking points.
- We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information about any individual, and we do not knowingly collect consumer (non-business) data for our leads.
2. How we use information
- Website Data: to provide, deliver and support the Services, process orders, honor guarantees, respond to messages, and send service and transactional emails. We also use it to send marketing emails to customers and prospects, which you can opt out of at any time.
- Business Contact Data: to create employer leads that we license to insurance agents and brokers for business-to-business prospecting, and to keep our suppression list.
- Both: to keep our site and Services secure, prevent fraud, and comply with law.
3. How we disclose information
- Lead customers (Business Contact Data only): we license business contact information in a lead to the agent or broker who buys that lead. Each buyer has the lead to itself for a limited exclusivity period. After that period, we may license the same lead to other agents or brokers, one at a time, and earlier buyers may keep using it under our terms. Our terms prohibit buyers from reselling or sharing it and require them to stop contacting, and delete, anyone who asks.
- Service providers: we use service providers for hosting and security, email, and payments. They process data only on our behalf, only as needed to perform their services and under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
We do not use information collected through our forms, purchases or unsubscribe requests for targeted advertising.
4. Business contact information
We license business contact information about businesses and their decision-makers (such as name, job title, business email, business phone, and company details) to insurance professionals for business-to-business outreach. To ask us to remove your information or to opt out of this licensing, contact support@groupdeed.com or use our removal page.
5. Your choices and rights
- Email opt-out: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, our unsubscribe page, or reply "unsubscribe." There is no fee, and you don't need to log in. We process opt-outs within 10 business days and usually much sooner. We may still send messages about an order you placed.
- Do Not Sell or Share / remove my business contact details: use the "Remove my business contact details" option on our unsubscribe page, or email support@groupdeed.com with the subject "Remove my business contact details." We will stop including you in leads delivered after we process your request, add you to a suppression list so you are not added again, and ask any broker who already received your details within their license period to stop contacting you and delete them. We act on these requests within 15 business days.
- Access, correction or deletion: email support@groupdeed.com with the subject "Privacy request," or use our privacy request form. Tell us what you are asking for and the email or phone number we may hold. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing information, and we will respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may submit a request for you with your signed permission. We will not discriminate against you for using any of these rights.
- Privacy requests: use our Privacy Requests form to ask us to remove your info, not sell or share it, or give you access to it.
- State rights: Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or to stop licensing your business contact details, and we will honor that request.
6. Cookies and local storage
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting, security and payment providers may set cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver and protect the site and process payments. Our fonts and styles are hosted on our own site.
Our forms don't keep a copy of what you enter in your browser's local storage. If an earlier version of our site saved a copy on your device, it is deleted the next time you load any of our pages.
7. Retention and security
We keep Website Data as long as needed for the purposes above, to meet legal obligations and to resolve disputes. We keep Business Contact Data while it is current and useful for leads, and we delete or refresh records we find to be out of date. We keep opt-out and removal requests on a suppression list, which holds only the minimum information needed to honor them, so we can keep honoring them. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children
Our Services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted here with a new date.
